INSIDE OUTSIDE HOUSE

The Inside Outside House explores the balance between privacy and openness — presenting a calm, grounded exterior to the street before unfolding into a light-filled home organised around courtyards, landscape and connection.

Layered forms, recessed spaces and generous overhangs create depth, shelter and shadow, while large sliding openings allow the living spaces to extend naturally outward to the pool, deck and outdoor rooms beyond. Although positioned on a constrained urban site, the planning creates a strong sense of openness and spatial generosity throughout.

A restrained material palette of dark cladding, concrete-inspired finishes and warm timber gives the home a calm and enduring quality — sculptural from the outside, yet relaxed and highly liveable within.
