REDCLIFFS HOUSE

The brief was to design a luxurious penthouse style apartment that would withstand any future seismic activity on an almost geotechnically unbuildable site. Uniquely, the home was designed to be completely independent from the site, with suspended concrete floors, commercial grade foundations, and lightweight cladding's. Over engineered steel structures which provide a central brace from the entry lobby up to the kitchen and dining areas are a striking feature which has been carried throughout.

The floor plan provides multiple living spaces clustered around courtyards and terraces arranged for shelter and views. The intimacy created by cosy spaces and carefully crafted materials is reinforced by unique handpicked furnishings, artworks, and custom designed furniture pieces.
